This opinion piece on the Washington Post’s spanish edition discusses the mixed messages sent by the strategy to return to in-person classes to students, parents and teachers. I wrote it as a personal project alongside my former boss at IMCO.

This opinion article uses ComparaCarreras’s results to present the economic effects of graduating college to prospective college students and convince them of the importance of taking return-on-investment data into account when choosing their academic major. It was published in a newspaper as part of the 2019 launch campaign.

This opinion article reflects on the challenges that the incoming president López Obrador faces to break the ties between social and educational outcomes. It was published in the october 2018 printed version of Nexos, a cultural and political magazine in based in Mexico City.

This opinion piece explores the rebuilding of schools damaged by earthquakes in Mexico. In it, I use data from IMCO’s map tool to offer some evidence of progress and opportunity areas for the national and state agencies in charge of rebuilding education infrastructure.
