For my Master’s in Sociology, my thesis analyses how the change in the admissions system to upper secondary education in Mexico City affected the relationship between an applicants’ socioeconomic origins and their choices of schools to apply to, specifically those schools that require an admissions exam.

This is my bachelor’s degree thesis, in which I analyze how public policies that sought to change the academic degree offered at public universities had the unintended consequence of further altering the gender balance in the choice of college major.
