Mejora Tu Escuela

Project Description

Mejora Tu Escuela is an online platform that provides citizens with information about school performance. It has a profile for every school in Mexico and displays information such as its location, enrollment, teacher characteristics, and performance on national standardized tests. The site allows parents to search for schools of their choice, rate, and comment on some schools’ services.

What was my involvement in this project?

When I began an internship at IMCO while finishing college, my first experience there was working with Mejora Tu Escuela, supporting its users, and drafting social media materials. I worked on this project for several years until I took on responsibility for it as a whole. My main activities were then working with its data, handling tasks such as finding available sources, processing and using them in analysis, and preparing them for insertion into the site’s database. Later on, I began using Google Analytics to monitor site usage, track objectives, and implement changes and additions to the site.
